How to add customers to WooCommerce?

Even if you run an online store, not all of your clients will come through it. Some people prefer to place orders over the phone or through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and others.

How do you add customers to WooCommerce now?

That’s why we’ll go through it in this article. Continue reading to discover the simplest methods for adding clients to WooCommerce.

Method 1: Manually add customers to WooCommerce.

We’re all aware that the dashboard is the quickest way to accomplish anything on WordPress. The same is true for adding customers to WooCommerce. The WordPress dashboard makes it simple to add customers to WooCommerce.

Step 1: Navigate to your WordPress dashboard and scroll to the bottom. Navigate to Users and select Add New.

Step 2: On the following page, enter the required information such as Username, Email, First Name, and Last Name. Remember to create a Password. You can also generate an auto-generated password by clicking the Generate Password button.

Keep the Send the new user an email about their account checkbox enabled as well to notify them when their account is ready.

Step 3: Now, click the box next to Role to bring up a drop-down menu. Choose Customer and then click the Add New User button.

That’s all. The customer will be added to your WooCommerce customer list.

Method 2: Add customers to WooCommerce using FluentCRM.

Even though adding customers to WooCommerce appears to be a simple process, it does not allow you to send your contacts to your CRM or email marketing automation tool for further marketing activities. To add these customers to your tools, you’ll need to perform a few additional manual tasks.

Imagine doing this several times a day. — Yes, it will not only waste your time but also irritate you!

This leads us to a different solution: adding customers to WooCommerce via FluentCRM!

FluentCRM is free, and you can begin email marketing right from your WordPress dashboard!

FluentCRM is the first thing you’ll need. You can install the plugin by downloading it from the WordPress repository and following the installation instructions.

After that, set up automation so that whenever you add a contact to FluentCRM, they also become a customer on your WooCommerce store. To do so, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Launch FluentCRM and navigate to Contacts > Lists.

Step 2: Click on Create List.

Step 3: Name the List and save it. Assume we received an order via Facebook. As a result, we’ll change the title to customers 1

We’ll create automation now that the list is complete. This automation will add customers to the list as soon as you add them to the list.

Step 4: Navigate to the Automation section and select New Automation.

Step 5: Select CRM and give the automation funnel a label from the Internal label. Then choose List Applied.

Step 6: Name the automation and select the list (Facebook Customers) that we created earlier.

Step 7: Construct the automation funnel. To add a benchmark, click the + Icon.

Step 8: Scroll down and click on Actions > Create WP User option.

Step 9: Label the action and select Customer as the User Role. Then click the Save Changes button.

The automation is complete; simply toggle the button next to drafts, and it will be operational! All customers from the Facebook list will be added to WooCommerce automatically.

When the list of Facebook customers is applied to a contact, the above method automatically adds customers to WooCommerce. When you receive a phone or social media order, all you have to do is create a contact in FluentCRM and add them to the Facebook customers list.

Go to Contacts and select Add Contact.

Provide the required information and select the list on the next screen. Then select the Create Contact option.

As your eCommerce business expands, you begin to receive orders from all possible sources. If you find manually adding customers to WooCommerce time-consuming, you can do that by using the FluentCRM plugin. Hopefully, this article has enlightened you on a simple way to add customers to WooCommerce store!
